Welcome to The Riverbend Experience
The Riverbend Experience is the heart of Camp Riverbend. It’s the place where kids can explore, grow and gain confidence. It’s the place where kids make life-long friends and life-long memories!Grade schoolers, entering 1st – 7th grades, spend the day in all-boy or all-girl groups. They’re grouped with their friends in the same grade. Each group has two counselors of the same gender. Our group head counselors are teachers or older college students who have worked at Riverbend before. Our group assistant counselors are college students, many of them former Riverbend campers themselves!
During the day, each group rotates through 7 different activities and tries lots of new things! Our team of activity instructors lead and teach all sorts of crafts, sports, performance and outdoor activities. Click here to take our Camp tour and see all the amazing activities offered.
Swimming is an important part of each day, with a 20 minute lesson each morning and a 40 minute “free” swim in the afternoon for splashing around and having fun. Older campers choose their own afternoon schedules twice a week in our tracking program.
Four days a week after lunch, all Riverbend Experience campers join a club run by counselors or enjoy free play in areas supervised by counselors. Click here to see our 1st grade, 2nd & 3rd grade or 4th -7th grade clubs options.
Campers entering 4th-7th grades have an overnight here at Camp once a summer. All Camp groups have two cookouts each summer, with yummy burgers, hot dogs and other BBQ treats!
Riverbend Experience campers participate in camp-wide special events like carnivals and performances by guest entertainers. They start and end each day at assemblies where we sing our traditional silly Camp songs! Click here to hear them
