This summer we are offering a new option for Camp Riverbend families. We are partnering with a caterer, Simply Gourmet Lunches, who will offer prepared lunches delivered to camp daily.
Lunches cost $4.15 per day in 2010, with additional choices (extra portions, organic ingredients, dessert) for an extra charge. Lunches will be delivered daily to camp and distributed to campers along with the rest of the group’s lunches from home. Lunches will be kept at the correct temperature (hot lunches kept hot, cold lunches kept cold) until lunch time.

Q. Does my child have to order lunch through the caterer?
A. No, this is only an option. You can always choose to send in your own lunch
from home. As always, Camp Riverbend will provide lunchtime drinks (milk, juice,
bottled water, etc.). All lunches are kept at the appropriate temperature (hot
lunches kept hot, cold lunches kept cold) until lunchtime.
Q. Can I order lunch only one day a week?
A. Yes, you can. You can order lunches one to five days a week.
Q. Will there be a hot lunch choice?
A. Yes there will be hot and cold lunch choices daily.
Q. What are the lunch choices?
A. Go to www.simplygourmetlunches.com to see a sample menu of the choices available.
Q. How do I order?
A. Before your child starts camp, go to Simply Gourmet's website and create
your account. Once you get your child's group assignment at our Welcome Day
on June 20, you can start placing your order. You will NOT be able to place
an order until you have your child's group assignment, but you can set up your
account before then. Payment is made directly to Simply Gourmet caterers, NOT
to Camp Riverbend.
Q. How far ahead do I have to order lunch?
A. 72 hours.
Q. What about food allergies?
A. Visit http://www.simplygourmetlunches.com/ingredients.php for more information
about allergies. You can see the ingredients for every item that Simply Gourmet
offers. Simply Gourmet does not use nuts in any of their food.
Q. What happens if the caterer sends the wrong lunch or no lunch for
my child?
A. We will have a list of each camper's order for each day. If the wrong lunch
or no lunch is delivered, Camp Riverbend will provide a substitute lunch for
your child (a limited number of choices are available through Camp). You will
not be charged for the caterer for a missed lunch.
Q. What happens if my child doesn't like the food that the caterer provides,
after I have already ordered for a week?
A. Log into your account and edit your order choices. Remember there is a 72
hour advance notice requirement for changes in orders too.
Q. What if I have ordered lunch and my child does not come to camp?
A. There are no refunds if a lunch is ordered and a child misses camp that day
for any reason.
Q. Are the lunches healthy? Are organic products available?

issues. Organic items are available for an extra charge.
Q. My child is always hungry! Will there be enough food in the catered
lunch?
A. The standard lunch includes an entrée, a side dish and fresh produce
or vegetable. Dessert is optional at 65 cents per day. You can also choose to
order a second entrée portion for your child for an extra $1.50.
Q. My child is in the Day Trippers or Teen Travel and needs to be able
to pick up lunch first thing in the morning. Can Simply Gourmet accommodate
this?
A. Maybe, depending on the number of Day Trippers and Teen Travel campers who
choose to order lunch. Please call us to discuss!
